Jacquelyn A. Sideris graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University in May 2018 with a double-major in Philosophy (with honors) and American Government. During her senior year, Jackie completed an Honors Thesis with the Department of Philosophy, writing on Aristotelian and Stoic ethics and the role of external goods on conceptions of living well. She is also a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national honors society for the study of Political Science and Government. While at Georgetown, Jackie served as a member of the Georgetown University Mock Trial and Law Team's Executive Board as the Director of Logistics and was a member of the team for four years.
Upon graduating from Georgetown, Jackie then matriculated at the University of Arizona as a PhD student in Philosophy, specializing in Aristotelian and Stoic ethics and Ancient Greek philosophy, as well as topics in feminist, race, and disability philosophy. Although Jackie ultimately decided to leave the program before completing her PhD, she graduated with an M.A. in philosophy in May 2020. During her time at the University of Arizona, Jackie was elected as a member of her department's Climate Committee, as well as one of two Graduate Student Representatives. She also served as a coach for the University of Arizona Mock Trial team (UAMT) for almost two years.
Jackie has interned with Congresswoman Jackie Speier (CA-14), for Justice At Last, a nonprofit law firm in the San Francisco Bay Area that provides free legal representation to survivors of human trafficking, and for the American Institute for Truth in Advertising, a non-profit corporation formed to combat false or deceptive advertising and/or labeling of consumer products.
Jackie was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. In her free time, Jackie enjoys cooking and baking, collecting vinyl, and rooting for her favorite baseball team, the San Francisco Giants. Jackie joined Kostelanetz & Fink, LLP in 2020.
