Boris Kostelanetz (1911 - 2006), J.D., LL.D (hon), CPA, is nationally recognized as the "Dean" of the tax litigation bar, and had a distinguished career in the public and private sectors.

Mr. Kostelanetz was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Special Assistant to the Attorney General of the United States, and Chief of the War Frauds Section for the Department of Justice. Mr. Kostelanetz served as Special Counsel to the United States Senate Committee to Investigate Organized Crime in Interstate Commerce (The Kefauver Committee). Mr. Kostelanetz was a founding partner of the law firm of Corcoran & Kostelanetz in 1946, and of Kostelanetz & Ritholz, as well as our successor firm. Mr. Kostelanetz was a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American College of Tax Counsel. He served as President of the New York County Lawyers’ Association. During his career, Mr. Kostelanetz received numerous achievement and service awards from Fordham University, New York University, St. John’s University, and Hebrew University.
